artist : educator

I am a Naarm (Melbourne) based fine art landscape photographer, artist, and educator with over 20 years of professional experience. My practice is grounded in fine art photography, focusing on the natural landscape as a space of quiet beauty. I use light not just to illuminate, but to express atmosphere, evoke memory, and explore my emotional connection to the land.

After a long career in commercial advertising photography, working with leading automotive and lifestyle brands, I shifted my creative direction toward fine art. My current work engages deeply with the Australian landscape, using light and abstraction to evoke psychological and emotional responses. Each image is part of a quiet meditation on place, perception, and the natural forces that shape our world.

My work has been exhibited across Australia and is held in private collections nationwide. Alongside my art practice, I lead the Photography program at Collarts in Melbourne, where I support emerging artists through creative, practice-based education.

commission

I welcome commissions from private collectors, interior designers, architects, and art consultants. Whether you're looking to transform a residential space or develop a site-specific artwork, I work collaboratively to create something unique and enduring.

Each commissioned piece is printed and finished to museum-grade standards, using archival materials and processes. I partner with skilled local printers, framers, and fabricators to ensure every detail is of the highest quality.

If you have a space, concept, or project in mind, I’d love to hear from you.

Mentoring

I offer personalised, one-on-one mentoring for individuals who are seeking a deeper, more meaningful relationship with photography, regardless of professional background or previous experience.

This mentoring is designed specifically for those who lead busy, high-performing lives and are drawn to photography as a creative outlet, a form of expression, or a mindful practice. Whether you're looking to elevate your technical skill, explore landscape photography more intentionally, or reconnect with creativity in a way that enriches your life, my sessions are tailored to your pace and purpose.

Mentoring offers space for:

  • Building confidence in visual language and composition

  • Exploring the landscape through observation and presence

  • Developing a creative practice grounded in reflection, not perfection

  • Unpacking images, ideas, and the “why” behind the work

  • Moving beyond the technical to cultivate personal voice and vision

Sessions are offered in person (Melbourne) or online, and are designed to be flexible, reflective, and supportive. This is not a course, it’s a conversation, a creative partnership, and a space to grow.

If you’re ready to take your photography more seriously, or more soulfully, I’d love to work with you..
